QUESTION: I copied text from a Word document to the Text Editor. The text is not formatting properly. What did I do wrong?

ANSWER: If you decide to copy/paste text into the text editor, please be sure to convert the text into "plain text" mode (vs. rich text) before doing so. By converting your text to plain text you make sure that your text doesn’t carry any pre-set styles that would interfere with the CSS styles integrated with the Text editor.

To turn your text into a plain text, use any of the following programs:
Notepad (Windows)
edit (DOS)
ed
emacs
vi
vim
Gedit or nano (Unix, Linux)
SimpleText (Mac OS)
TextEdit (Mac OS X)
